The lines that comprise a comic book or graphic novel can often merge, making it tricky to distinguish between these two categories of sequential art. While both employ the visual storytelling medium and consist of drawings accompanied by dialogue, there are distinct distinctions. A classic comic book is often seen as a continuous narrative told in
